Departure of the U.S.S. Warden

Ship's Log, Stardate 92389.7. Rear Admiral Johnathan MacReynolds recording. As of this stardate, I have formally assumed command of the Federation Starship Warden. Our first assignment is to report to the Jenolan Dyson Sphere in order to join Admiral Tuvok's Delta Expedition Fleet.

Admiral MacReynolds tapped a control to end the recording and save the entry to the ship's log files. The crew around him, most of whom he knew from his previous command, were busily running last-minute diagnostics and confirming their readiness to leave drydock. Each officer gave him a quick nod when they noticed him looking. After completing his circut, Admiral MacReynolds leaned forward in his command chair, suddenly aware of all the eyes on him as he gave the traditional order for the ship to exit drydock. "Helm, one quarter impulse power. Take us out."
